Steve Carell to star in I.Q. 83
Steve Carell is set to star in the big screen adaptation of Arthur Herzog’s sci-fi novel, I.Q. 83. Paramount is developing the project and has set Charlie Kaufman to do write a new draft for the screenplay.
Planning to create a social satire, rather than a drama, the story will follow Dr. James Healey who leads a group of scientists to conduct DNA experiments that unleash an airborne virus that isn’t fatal but progressively lowers the IQ of the afflicted. It becomes a race against time as the scientist struggles for a cure, even as he feels himself growing dumber.
