Denis Villeneuve to direct Blade Runner sequel

Denis Villeneuve is in talks to direct the sequel to 1982’s sci-fi classic Blade Runner. Harrison Ford is attached to reprise his role as Rick Deckard.

While plot details are unknown, the story will take place several decades after the original. Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have written the screenplay.

Alcon Entertainment and Ridley Scott are producing.
